How do I track visitors from my website to the EDEN Instant Quote page using Google Analytics?
How to keep your website traffic and Instant Quote activity connected for accurate tracking
What Is Cross-Domain Tracking?
Cross-domain tracking lets you follow a visitor as they move from your website to your Instant Quote page (e.g., app.e-denhomes.com/demo/Intro). Without it, Google Analytics treats the click as an external link and stops tracking the user once they leave your site. That means you can’t see what they do inside Instant Quote.
By enabling cross-domain tracking, your website and Instant Quote are treated as one continuous experience. This gives you full visibility into how users interact, verify their address, and submit a quote request.
Why Cross-Domain Tracking Matters
Without cross-domain tracking, the user journey breaks the moment someone clicks into Instant Quote. You lose insight into the actions that matter most.
With it enabled, all Instant Quote activity is tied back to the original session, allowing you to:
- Track customer journeys seamlessly from your website to the Instant Quote page.
- Extend visitor session duration by covering both website and Instant Quote interactions.
- Track conversions accurately from website visits to Instant Quote completions.
- Measure your campaign success by linking marketing efforts to specific actions.
- Optimize your Google Ads strategy to maximize return on ad spend.
- Gain deeper insights into user behavior across both platforms.
How to Set Up Cross-Domain Tracking

Select Data Streams under "Data collection and modification" and click your website
-
Under Configure tag settings, copy your Google Tag ID (format:

Email your Tag ID to help@e-denhomes.com. We’ll configure the Instant Quote side for you.
Step 2: Add the EDEN Domain to Your Domain Configuration

Select Add condition

Add the following domains:
-
Your website domain (e.g.,

Once completed, sessions will flow smoothly between your website and Instant Quote.

What Events Will I See in Google Analytics?
You’ll begin seeing the following events within a couple of days:
page_view
- Intro: This is the first page on your Instant Quote.
- Location: This is where your visitors enter the home address.
- Results: This is where your visitors see recommendations and prices.
- modal/quote: When visitors open the contact information box on the Results page, this page view is recorded.
address_verify
- This event is fired when the entered home address is verified (this is not triggered for all visitors who entered an address. Address verification is not a prerequisite for showing prices.)
quote_request
- This event is fired when a quote request contact form is successfully submitted
service_request
- This event is fired when the service request contact form is successfully submitted
